The original owner of this collection, Andrew, HTN's founder, was first introduced to Stroozer and his work in Sausalito, California through a mutual friend.
In 1995, Andrew commissioned Stroozer to complete two large originals. One that encompassed two of San Francisco's main landmarks: the Palace of Fine Arts (site of the 1915 World's Fair) and the pyramid shaped TransAmerica building. Plus, it features SF's iconic downtown skyline. The San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts View is the first painting of San Francisco by Stroozer. The other original and largest painting, Trinidad Islands, is based on a real, favorite location of Andrew's and he provided detailed descriptions of the location to the artist. Stroozer was given lots of artistic liberty to create something splendorous, which was accomplished.
The prints were also purchased from Stroozer.
Andrew recently donated the collection to Heroes of the Nation (www.htn.org) to raise funds for their orphanage for 500 children in Kenya.
